Just because it’s important, doesn’t mean it has to be boring!

Hi! I’m Lucy. Here’s what I am working on…

“All My Friends are Pregs” book

"All My Friends Are Pregs" is a Dr. Seuss-style "children's" book about the many different forms and expressions of motherhood in the modern world. Think: “All My Friends are Dead” meets “Go the F*ck To Sleep” and then put it through a feminist kaleidoscope.

"Lucy Learns Wrestling” documentary

"Lucy Learns Wrestling” is a documentary short capturing my journey to train with and become a pro-wrestler in New Jersey, culminating in a real wrestling match. As a former WWE correspondent for Yahoo! Sports, I push my body to the limits while transforming into “Quarantine Barbie.”

Creative Program Director & Local personality, Downtown Raleigh

Recently named Raleigh’s Play Ringmaster by Raleigh Magazine, I program live music series, public art installations and other creative activations for Downtown Raleigh through a lens of inclusive whimsy. Additional roles include boosting local business through social media and raising the vibe emceeing at local events!

Who’s that girl?

I’m a native New Yorker with some pretty insane stories about growing up next door to Martin Scorsese, moving to Paris at 17 and blowing up my life and getting divorced at 28 while unemployed!

Working in New York in my 20’s, I worked as an on-camera correspondent and interview moderator for AOL’s Build Series NYC and Yahoo! Sports, specializing in pro-wrestling.

I moved to Raleigh, NC in 2021 with my (current and much better) husband and two dogs - a pug and dober(wo)man.

When I moved here, I didn’t know how to make friends as a liberal, child-free by choice married millennial adult, so I started Crowded Table Club - an event series dedicated to fostering new friendships for ALL womxn and femme presenting/identifying persons, through epically themed events.

I landed in Raleigh as the Marketing Director of Artsplosure, an arts non-profit in the music festival space, and am now the Creative Program Director of Downtown Raleigh Alliance, with projects like the Topiary Dinos, Feminist First Friday and Live After 5 concert series featuring Spin Doctors and Sixpence None The Richer.

Because I also have my father’s ADHD, and the New Yorker need to never stop, I am also working on my book, All My Friends are Pregs and documentary Lucy Learns Wrestling.
